Are you an experienced agricultural machinery technician looking for a new challenge?
We have a fantastic opportunity for an Agricultural Technician to join our team at Chatford, Shrewsbury. As a Service Technician at Edwards & Farmer Ltd you’ll play a crucial part in providing and maintaining an exceptional level of customer service whilst working with our industry-leading manufacturers & suppliers.
The successful technician will be working closely with our experienced professionals who are passionate about what they do. Prior experience in the repair and maintenance of agricultural tractors and equipment, coupled with a thorough understanding of modern farm equipment technologies is essential for this role.
Responsibilities:

- Maintenance and repairs on and off-site both tractors & machinery completed to a high standard.
- Assembly & PDI of new machines to the correct specification.
- To be competent in fault finding on Engines, Hydraulics, & Electrical issues using the latest diagnostic equipment.
- Prompt & correct filling in of all paperwork – time sheets, job cards & reports, etc.
- Work alongside and communicate with customers, colleagues, manufacturers, and suppliers.
- Undertaking relevant manufacturer training as & when required – giving you the opportunity to develop your skills & knowledge of the latest products & services on the market.
- Ensures prompt and accurate completion of all necessary reports and administrative tasks, including job cards and time sheets, maintaining a high standard of quality.
- Ensures a tidy and organised workshop environment, actively contributes to overall workshop organisation, and promotes the proper utilization of tools and vehicles at all times.
- Weekend rota with retainer
Key attributes:
- Experience working on Agricultural Machinery and Equipment using diagnostic tools & equipment and referral to manufacturer service portals & books.
- Skilled & knowledgeable in mechanical, electrical & hydraulic systems
- Professional, proactive & organised
- Exceptional customer service approach
- Full UK driving licence
- Ability to work well in a team environment

Salary & benefits will reflect the ability & experience of the successful applicant & will be agreed by negotiation.
